About Legis360
Legis360 is a civic technology organisation focused on improving legislative transparency, citizen participation, and accountability through data, technology, and research. Our tools support citizens, civil society, and lawmakers in better understanding, tracking, and engaging with legislative processes. As legislators increasingly adopt the Legis360 Legislative Intelligence Portal (LIP) for constituency engagement, we are seeking a dedicated officer to manage onboarding, relationships, and day-to-day coordination with legislative offices.
Role Summary
The Legislative Engagement Officer will lead the onboarding, support, and relationship management of legislators and their offices using the Legis360 Legislative Intelligence Portal (LIP). This role sits at the intersection of technology, governance, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate is organised, confident in engaging public officials, and understands how legislative offices operate.
Key Responsibilities
Legislator Onboarding & Support
- Lead onboarding of legislators and their aides onto the LIP platform
- Coordinate consent letters, official confirmations, and office details
- Conduct onboarding walkthroughs and basic platform training for aides
- Serve as the first point of contact for legislators’ offices using LIP
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain professional relationships with legislators, aides, and committee offices.
- Follow up with offices to ensure active and effective use of the platform
- Document feedback from legislative offices and share with the product team
- Support outreach to new legislators and committees
Platform Operations
- Manage legislator profiles and office dashboards on LIP
- Track onboarding status, usage metrics, and engagement reports
- Escalate technical or operational issues to the technical team
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with Legis360 standards
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain records of onboarded legislators and authorised aides
- Produce short weekly or monthly updates on onboarding progress
- Support the preparation of reports for donors, partners, and internal review
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Communications, or related field
- 2 - 4 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, public sector work, civic tech, or CSOs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortably engaging legislators, senior aides, and public officials
- Basic understanding of Nigeria’s legislative process (Senate & House)
Desired Skills & Attributes
- High level of professionalism and discretion
- Strong organisational and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple offices
- Familiarity with digital platforms and dashboards
- Experience working with National Assembly offices is a strong advantage
